Billman, if it is external and doesn't involve having to disassemble the tranny, I will try it. Please let us know which detent spring it is. I will order and install it and let everyone know if this cures the "pop-out" problem. I've been frustrated with this issue for the past 3 years.

i "over filled"(squeezed the full two quarts in there) my trans with honda manual transmission fluid and it hasnt popped out since. i dunno if that is a solution but so far its working

Hey Billman, my 3rd gear pops out occasionally on decel and when speed shifting from 2nd. Could you also pinpoint the 3rd gear detent springs? Thanks in advance.

I'll have the pics of all 7 detents (1-6 and reverse) as soon as I can. Likely monday or tuesday. I'll do a write up here as well...

Great work guys! I can't believe that it is this easy. every other trans I've seen this on had a bent fork.
