This isn't a "recall". It's a Honda TSB. As I understand it, if you own a 2004-2005 S2000 and the transmission "pops" out of second gear, then the dealership will rebuild your transmission.

So i could just go to the dealer and tell them that my second gear pops out? They should replace it. Has anyone gotten this warranty job done with some mods to the engine, i currently have an intake, should i put back the stock box?

Of course the dealer should fix it under warranty, that is not proper function. Since it may be hard to reproduce, it would be good if you document what conditions make it happen and how often. Obviously the intake has nothing to do with it and my dealer would not care, but that is a call you will have to make.

Honda will rebuild my 2004 transmission because 2nd gear popping out and is aware of this defect in the transmission on my s2000. But this doesn't sound like a recall?????????
And has a bulletin about the 2004 transmission 2nd gear popping out. And the bulletin said to Schedule an appointment for the customer and the car would need to be in the shop for 4+ days for service. And offer a rent a car for the down time.
Do they do this for anybody that call and ask about a problem about their car???
My understanding is all 2004 transmissions are built the same way until a defect is found. Meaning the defect will affect all 2004 using the same inner parts.
If you know that each 2004 transmission are built different from each other,
Please share with how you know this?????????????????????????????????????????????? ?

a TSB, or technical bulletin, is generally only given to dealerships to inform them of common problems or complaints that may occur on a car, and offers a known solution if such problems occur.
so in other words, not every 04-05 S2000 will have this issue. however, it is obviously a common complaint, particularly one they have a solution for, so they issued the TSB. that's why it's not a recall, and that's why it isn't volunteered to customers unless they are having the problem.
