Trunk won't open

which is also fastened by plastic pins which you are supposed to remove from the trunk side.

oh your right. I think I had that out at the time. I would guess that you could pop it out after a little work.

This could not have been a bigger pain in the ass.
I eventually had to remove the four bolts that hold the swing arms to the trunk. Thanks Lee.

I didn't have any tools either, they were in the trunk. So I had to use plyers to get them off.
All told, it took me 2.5 hours to do it. My chest is sore as hell today from laying across the part where the wind screen goes. I'm 6'1 190, so that didn't make squeezing back there any easier. And I had the spare tire to contend with.

DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU. It was the most frustrating thing I've ever done.

Um, yea.

I didn't connect the release to the trunk. I had it off putting a wing on the trunk.
