Default Trunk wiring question -

Im not sure if this is in the right section or not. so move it if need be.

I replaced my trunk actuator this weekend and everything is working well. I used to not be able to open from trunk from inside OR from my remote. Now i can

Everything is all linked up and was replaced, except this wire that is being pointed out in the picture. It looks like it was meant to be grounded somewhere, for whatever reason?!?! Does anyone know where this goes or its purpose?

There is no location for it in the trunk anywhere near the seating of the actuator.

You see at the butt end of your arrow, theres a mounting screw that goes through there. That goes between your actuator and the mount, i'll get you a picture by tomorow.
