The trunk circuit is also connected to the keyless door lock control unit. Q1- Does your kekless lock function work? If not check fuse #26, it's Located under the dash on the main fuse panel. Right side second fuse down. If door lock works it's either the trunk switch or trunk solenoid. Frankly I have seen this mode twice and both cases were fixed by re seating the connector for the trunk solenoid. 3 pin rewarded next to the trunk latch. Obviously came loose during trunk opening nag and closing.

The keyless lock will only unlock the doors, but not the trunk. The inside release (button inside the glove box) does not work either. There does not seem to be any loose electrical connection to the latch assembly.
The electrical connection in the trunk is a 3 pin connector. On the male side with the connector lock at 12 o'clock;pin one is on the left, 2 in the middle and 3 is on the right. Now go to the female side and put a voltmeter (continuity tester) between pins 2-3. You should see continuity when the trunk button in the glovebox pushed. If the button is bad you have to pull the rear console to access the switch. Remove the switch and test for continuity on the switch-only two pins (the other pin in the trunk goes to the trunk light and trunk indicator light).

If the switch is OK then you can move on to the latch assembly. This is a little tougher. Grab a 12 volt battery or power supply and briefly connect pins 1&2. If the solenoid does not actuate the latch replace the latch assembly.

Replacing this assembly requires disconnecting the 3 pin connector, removing 2 screws, and twisting the assembly 90 degrees clockwise to disengage the latch pushrod.
Replacement torque is 7.2 lbf.ft if you end up replacing the latch.
