Trouble starting car in cold weather? anyone else?

Used to have the same issue. Usually it was in the AM and single digits outside temp. When it did start it would usually sputter out after trying to idle for 2-5 seconds. Ended up installing a block heater and combined it with a heavy duty timer. I had it scheduled to turn on a few hours before I had to head to work. Fired up every time and I had 1 bar on the temp gauge within a few seconds of running. Sometimes I'd leave the plug hanging out of the grill and people would ask about it, I would tell them it was Honda's new electric car
