Hello. i am replacing my oem springs with h & r springs, but am having trouble getting the brass (plated?) nut at the top of the strut to loosen. i have a strut compressor compressing the springs, but when i attempt to loosen the nut, the strut spins with it. The sleave on the strut looks to me like it could be easily damaged if i attempted to clamp it to keep it from moving. your thoughts/ideas?

 

Are you using an Allen wrench to hold the top bolt in place?
