Can anyone recommend a trickle charger, I am about to take my S2K off the road for the winter and last year the battery just went flat, which isnt ideal!

I used this cheap little thing for years and never had a problem with it, but have since started using a much better charger (bonus from a different hobby) intermittently through the winter, rather than keeping it plugged in all the time.

Float charging a lead battery is about 100 year old technology, so it doesn't take anything fancy or expensive.

Ctek withput a doubt.

They are one of the best brands and are included by the manufacturer when you buy many high end sports cars like Ferrari.

The cheapest one is about $44 on Amazon but it'll last you a lifetime.

Battery tender, CTEK or NOCO genius, all good products. I had the CTEK 7002 which worked well, was just undersized for my needs (not the s2K).

My completely sealed Battery Tender 800 works very well and is weatherproof.

I have a CTEK which I'm using on my AGM battery (Odyssey PC680) and my regular lead-acid battery. Not at the same time of course but I switch them out. Works like a charm! Highly recommend it.

I have been using a Battery MINDer Plus charger/maintainer/desilfator on my cars for about 15 years. When I first got my '03 S it wasn't my daily driver and it would be hooked up to the Battery MINDer whenever it wasn't being used. A few years later I made it my DD and threw the charger on whichever car I wasn't driving.

My original battery lasted 7 years and I'm still on my second battery. The battery in my other car lasted much longer too I like the science behind desulfation by pulsing a current into the battery. Theoretically your battery should last forever using a desulfator but I'm only getting a couple extra years. Hard to tell if any of that benefit is from the desulfation but I don't plan on changing it out.
