Default transmssion whine

I get some sort of whine (guessing transmission) when I am driving. It happens only when the car is warmed up (after about 4-5 min of driving). It only whines when I am not accelerating (I think), and if I put the car in neutral while rolling it stops. Also, when I put the clutch in it stops.

I read the TSB, but it was from 2001 I think and I have an '04 S2000, my question is will they replace it under warranty? I have about 17k miles on the car and do have a full warranty right not ("Honda certified")

Thanks in advance!

how loud is the whining? Some trannys make a little whine. having a hardtop makes those sound more noticeable too.. and what do you mean you think you have an 04????? That's a major piece of info to not know for sure about your car.

I have an 04, There was supposed to be a pause after: "I read the TSB, but it was from 2001 I think". It's pretty noticeable when I am driving, can hear it over the radio. Also I don't have a hardtop.

i have an 04 and its been doing it ever since. I have read a bunch of thread regarding this problem and it seems like that its normal (from what i understand) i sometimes hear it or sometimes i dont its different everyday...

btw i have now 80k miles and i guess its normal.

EDIT: im not sure if its the diff or the trans cause when i had 60k the dealer replace my 2nd 4th and 5th gear cause of the popping problem.
