Default Transmission stays stuck in gear

Hi All,
I recently had the clutch replaced when I had to get a new small block . What is happening now is when I pull my car into the garage and stop, I try to put it in neutral and the gear is stuck. If I force it out it will make a thud and the car will move a little. So what I have been doing is just turning the car off and then its no problem taking it out of gear. Also when I try to put it in 1st or reverse after a stop its kinda hard and sometimes i have to put it third then go to first. I have more than 500 miles on the new clutch.
Could it be trans fluid? Someone else had this similar problem?

How does the pedal feel? Is it giving you constant pressure through the whole movement?

Sounds like a flopped install to me

Make sure all the air is out of the hydraulic line between the clutch master and slave cylinder. Search for DIY clutch bleed instructions.

sounds like the friction disc is in backwards to me. common dealer mistake also, haha

take it back to whoever did the work and complain, they need to fix it!

^^DO that..and make sure there aren't any leaks.

Pedal feels fine when driving. Its just like before the install but now I have clutch buzz and the gear being stuck in first when I when i pull into the garage. I mean it doesn't happen on the road when i am in first and roll to a stop. But my garage has about a ~10 degree slope to it. Think that has anything to do with it?

Will check for leaks in the mean time.
Thanks.
