sometimes the shaft is a little sticky as well as the dowel pins.

If you are sure allllllll of the bolts are out then a little coaxing with a screw driver to separate it about 1/2 an inch to get it off the pins should help.

Double check all bolts are out and see if you can get the trans to just get a crack between it and the engine. Some of those bolts are hard to get to and I can easily see how one could be missed.

Did you remove the clutch fork? If not thats got to be released or you will never get the trans out!

The upper starter bolt is the most common missed bolt...

The most common snag is the clutch fork... after that just a missed bolt. There is nothing else that will hold it.

You have to drop the subframe 3 inches, There are Four bolts on each corner of the sub frame that must be let down 3 inches or 75mm. You also have to unplug your rack and pinion and disconnect the steering column from the Rack. Once you do all that the Trans will slide out like butter. Use a jack to hold the subframe up, then there are six bolts holding the front subframe to the car, the middle two you can remove, they are the short ones. The four corner bolts are specially designed so you can unbolt them and then suspend the subframe from the chassis(again 3 inches). Take one out if you dont beleive me and you'll see what I'm talking about. Or use a couple transmission stands to hold the subframe up while you let the bolts down to the 75mm mark (if the cars on a lift.) The rest of you are noobs haha jk. Good luck man.

It could also just be in a bind, then engine may want to tilt one way or the other so you sometimes have to have someone move the motor around to take the bind off the input shaft.
