Default Transmission not smooth after fluid change

I just changed my transmission oil last weekend, I have not noticed any smoother shifting and my second gear grinding when engaged. I used Honda Manual Transmission Fluid and it was to the fill hole on the transmission, starting to drip out. Any suggestions as to why I am having this issue.

Which Honda fluid did you use? Do you still have the bottle or remember what it looked like? How many miles are on the car?

Was the car level? You should be using almost 2 quarts of MTF.

It was Genuine Honda Manual Transmission Fluid, gray bottle with a green label. The car was pretty level from what I could see, I used about a quart and a half of the Honda stuff, and a little 10w30 mixed in to top it off, I only had that much left of the Honda fluid. Should I drain it and fill it up using only Honda fluid?

grinding at all times or only when cold? Does it go away after normal operating temps?

It depends, sometimes when its cold it wont grind but most of the time it will....after the car has been run for a period of 15min or more, it's not that noticeable or there at all. Should I try to drain and refill the tranny and clutch fluid and see if that helps? I've been reading that this is a common problem for s2ks. Versus changing the first two gear sets.

Try GM/Penzoil Syncromesh or Amsoil if the honda MTF didn't fix the grind.
