Default Transmission noise, Subtle, Normal?

Just changed out my Transmission and Differential oils. Used MTF and Mobil1 respectively. The reason why I changed the fluid is because, my transmission while IN gear at about 45 mph makes this Whirling / undulating / vibration noise during cruising speed.

It only does it when trying to MAINTAIN Speed not Accelerating or Decelerating. So if I just give it slight throttle to keep it at 55mph and then let off the throttle, it happens.

Sometimes is feels like there is "play" in my transmission i.e. the car rocks a little back-end-forth when getting on the gas from the "maintain speed" throttle position.

Since the Fluid change it's better but I can still hear it. I think it's coming from Differential, maybe axle??

What could cause this? Diff, Gears, or Clutch.

P.S. I've been ALL through the Search on this Forum and NO ONE has described my problem with the Transmission.

Use Redline Mt 90 for your tranny, and Redline 75W90 for your diff.
It should eliminate all of your problems.
I had a 1-2 grind,and since I changed to Redline,it is gone,and very smooth.

You are probably hearing the clutch springs make noise. The gear lash in the transmission excites clutch springs that have 'loosened up' and makes a racket most noticeable on deceleration. There is a TSB to address it but I think the fix is marginal and might not still be available. No damage is occurring but it does make the car sound like a bucket of bolts.

Where do you buy Redline? I can't find it locally, and I'm about to do fluid change #3.
