So, I just bought this s2000 and noticed a whooshing type sound. I originally thought it just air noise, almost sounds like the recirculation flap opening and an air "shhhhh" sound. However, today I realized that it starts when I shift into 2nd and goes away when going into 3rd, comes back when I go into 4th, nothing in 5th and then cruise in 6th and its there. Anybody know what the cause or fix is? Thanks.

does the car have an aftermarket intake? If so then its normal.

No, completely stock. And the noise is directly related to the transmission. I can make it do it and not do it depending on what gear Im in. Not relative throttle or anything, if the car is moving in one of those gears, its making the noise.

Whooshing, like air rushing? Or whirring? Whirring would be the gears/rear end just making noise.
A video would really help lol

I honestly dont think its loud enough to catch on video. Maybe I can. It can be described as whirring.
