Transmission LOUD GRIND
Hello sk2i!
After 120k miles on my AP1 I got my clutch, pressure plate and bearing changed. Everything shifts fine, however there is a LOUD grinding noise when i hit up to 4.5K RPMS and higher. And it's definitely coming from the transmission. Even when in neutral and I slowly rev it up the grinding noise can be heard. Does anyone have any ideas on what could cause this? Would a fluid change be a good idea? Maybe even help?
Thanks guys.

Replaced with OEM parts?

thank you.
actually found out it was not replaced with oem parts, but exedy parts.
from the other thread I understand exedy is inferior and will make these noises.
Can I drive like this for a little before I get it replaced?

LOUD grinding noise is Nature's way of telling you that you need a tow truck.
Sorry.
Sorry.

Yeah, either a defect with the Exedy parts (which wouldn't surprise me at all) or an issue with the install. I wouldn't recommend driving it, especially in the range where its causing the commotion. Who installed this for you? And were they the ones who purchased the Exedy parts as well? You need to use all OEM Honda parts as those Exedy parts have been trouble for countless owners in the past.
