What's type or brand of tranny fluid did you use.
You can get it at: Hard Top Guy's web site if you have any trouble finding it at your local GM dealership. I tried every GM dealer within a 20 mile radius (and that's more than a few) and none of them had it, or even knew what it was so I got it from Hardtopguy!

I got 1st gear popping out at stop light several times. Lately, I shifted into 2nd then into 1st at completed stops (traffic signal or stop sign) and I did not have 1st gear popping out anymore.
If you have come to a full stop and have a concern about 1st gear, try putting the tranny in neutral, momentarily let the clutch out and then step back down on it. This gives the transmissions internals a spin and it should slip right into 1st gear. I've had good success with this technique but I usually just try to engage 1st hear "just" before coming to a full stop. It slips right in with no problems at any speed from about 5mph or less.
To those who's cars are still brand new, mine was a bit rough when new. It will get better as things wear in.

Definitely have the dealer check it out. You don't mention what kind of miles you have on the car but 5 times for an '05 model seems a little excessive. I've had it pop out of 1st gear 3 times on my '04 model in 23k miles, it's been over 10k miles since the last time, but those were times when I was distracted and didn't get it all the way in gear in the first place.
I have almost 5,000 miles on mine now and it has has popped out of first gear twice -- both times I was lazy and didn't get it fully engaged before starting out. Quite a shock to say the least. Just glad I wasn't accelerating hard either time....

popped out once on me in 2nd. scared the hell out of me cause the car started jerking funny. I've had it 2 weeks so far. 8700 miles now.
will take it to the dealer. won't go to honda world if they spent an hour and wasted that much gas.
