Transmission install
I'm currently in the process of doing a clutch install. I have the new clutch in, and I'm trying to get the transmission back on. I have the input shaft into the throw out bearing, but I can't seem to get the transmission pulled up flush against the engine. Does anyone have any tips for getting it lined up and pulled against the engine?

Get it lined up almost perfectly then push harder.

Do I need to use the transmission bolts to pull it back together? I can get them through and thread them, but it seems like the dowels should go into the holes by pushing it.

Did you use an aligning tool to put the clutch back onto the flywheel?

The lower you get the motor, the easier it is. Make sure the gap between each side, the top and bottom stays fairly even and square. Dont forget to check your clutch fork is engaged properly before you tighten every thing.

Okay, I have the transmission back on. First we moved the dowels to the engine side and coated them in Honda urea grease. My friend and I threaded 5 of the bolts and tightened them in a criss cross pattern until it closed the gap.
