Transmission Fluid Should I?
I am plannig to change my transmission oil since I took the car to drag strip and ran about 8-9 times and I grind the second like a mofo for about 5 out of those runs. Now I was wondering if the tranny oil change and putting a better oil, ( what was it redline? moto?) would it reduce grind and or protect gears a little better than my abusive driving? I am also thinking about changing the oil tomorrow, the car has 2k miles on it but I feel like I need to change it. When I checked my oil today it was all the way down to the low line below all the x'ses (cold engine), and I immediatly added 2 quarts on top of it. Now I was thinking Mobil 1 10-30 synthetic as I have read on xvipers oil change instructions. Any commets? Anything bad with going synthetic early?

I recommend staying with Honda's recommendation on the type of oil.
7k before syn. As for the trans......you can use redline MT90. This should give you all the protection you need. Happy

What is the reason to wait till 7k before the synt? Is the engine sealing and has to burn some oil during that time to seal better or run etc.. and synt is harder to burn so the engine doesnt run as well? I just made that up might not make any sense.

Redline: 75w90 for the differential (1) bottle you could try the shock proof one too.
Redline: MT-90 for the transmission (2) bottles
Supposedley, you shouldn't switch to synthetic until certain amount of miles because they're "special additives" which help break in the engine rings or some crap like that. It's somewhere in the owners manual.

Thanks man, I will change the fluids by tomorrow. Also I dont think I will be waiting for the synthetic oil change, I mean I havent broken in this car very well either(600 miles only and i am not proud of it its just I was too exicted to have this car) and right after that started driving it pretty hard and i have been driving it hard and i dont like that cheezey cheap ass factory oil in there, no matter what kind of a sealant additives it has.
