Transmission Fluid Leak, What The Heck?
I arrived at work yesterday to notice smoke coming from the hood. I look underneath the car and Manual Tranny Fluid is draining out. I am bone stock and a local dealership just changed the tranny fluid about a month ago. The car is currently at another dealership and they say that the dealership that did the service did nothing wrong. They are currently looking deeper into the transmission. The car has 11,100 miles on it. They have already told me that this is a warranty issue so it will get fixed. Any thoughts?

Either they did not tighten a bolt (fill or drain) and/or overfilled so much that a seal is leaking. Not too many other choices.
But it seems like any transmission leak would stream behind the car so I don't understand smoke under the hood. What else did they do?

What MY is your S2k? As Cdelena mentioned, it could be a leaky seal, probably the main seal that links up between the engine and tranny, the first MY04 I bought had that problem, but not sure if thats the case for you. Hopefully if it is warranty they will get it fixed for you, good luck..

It is an '03, they had to take the whole transmission out. They have not found out what the problem is yet. It is covered under warranty though, the car has 11,000 miles on it and I am very easy on the car though.
