is it normal that when i spun the driveshaft by hand the passenger side spun faster than the drivers side wheel? my car does feel like it drifts to the right, even though all my alignment is in spec. could that be the cause?

That's probably because one rear brake is dragging a bit more than the other.

Is the tire pressure equal left/right and front/back?
Measured cold.

any other input on why there is a clunk in my driveshaft, the tire pressure should be the same, i had the shop check it when it was up on the rack.

If you can remove the driveshaft and have it looked at by a good independent mechanic. It might be that the unversal - joint things in the driveshaft are either dry or need a rebuild.

so i drained the diff today and there wasnt alot of shavings, only a little few small ones. the magnet wasnt very dirty only a bit. i also changed the tranny fluid and bled the clutch and the clunk seems like it got softer, it still appears but its less noticeable now. i changed tranny and the diff with amsoil.

is your car lowered? my car was lowered and made a similar clunking sound. turned out it was the spider rollers hitting the walls of the cv buckets. in installed some half shaft spacers and the "looseness" was gone

here's what happens in my car.

If I'm in neutral with my foot off the clutch, and then step on the clutch and immediately try to go into 1st, I'll get a slight resistance and a small "clunk".

If I'm in neutral, but have had my foot on the clutch for ~5 seconds or more before I try to put the trans in gear, it won't "clunk".

If I put the car 2-3 seconds after I step on the clutch, the clunk will be diminished.

YMMV, but I always have my foot on the clutch pedal at a red light. (No, my leg doesn't get tired... you get used to it, even with an aftermarket pressure plate)

my car is not lowered and that clunk your talking about psychoazn only happens to you in first gear? I heard that was normal with the s2k, but my clunk actually happens when im moving.
