Transmission Clunk when letting go of clutch
so I have a weird clunk noise from under the car right after i start letting go of the clutch and it engages. This happens in all gears. I dont know if it could be that axle nut problem where people say you need it to be greased and retoruqed to 220. I took it to AAMCO for a transcan and they told me that they lifted the car up and drove it while it was on the lift and hear the noise was coming from the tranny. They said the bearing was probaby gone and something would be messed up with the gears. anyone have ideas?

Don't trust an opinion from AAMCO. I live in a navy town and this company has been off limits for years. They are in the transmission repair business and it does'nt suprise me they found something wrong with your transmission. This is not to say they are wrong but just a warning and a rec to have it looked at by someone else.

I get a similar sounding clunk. When engaging all gears. I think it is coming from the diff though but not sure. Never any other noises except when engaging the gears. I'm not too worried. This car makes lots of noises lol.

Yea, I didnt really trust AAMCO when I got there, seems like they just wanted my money. How long have you had that clunk for Moddiction? Ima change the tranny fluid soon too see if there is any metal shavings on it

I figured out today that when i blip the throttle to about 2.5k and then engage the clutch, it doesnt make the clunk noise. is this bad to blip the throttle like that and engage at a higher rpm? what could this mean? could be something outside the tranny that makes the clunk ?

I've had the clunk since I put a new diff in I think. Feels almost like something is a little loose and has like slack so it moves a little and then clunks or something. When like driving in say 1st gear slow if i get on and off the throttle I can feel/hear it like clunk or engage or something.
