g-b that's what i wanted to say.
the clunk is only at a dead stop going into first or reverse, before the tranny inards stop moving, when disengaging the clutch in neutral.

I get the same clunk once in a while...........and it is also when the car is at a fully stop...going from reverse to 1st gear.....I don't think it is anything to worry about.
To me it feels like the drivetrain setting itself......cause I feel it on my ass

Having driven cars without synchro first or reverse gears, I found that going into 2nd prior to first or reverse when STOPPED aligns the gears and makes shifting into 1st or reverse easier.
