Did you put the M1 gear oil in the transmission, or the differential?

You changed your gear oil, in other words your manual transmission fluid? If it's still notchy, then you might want to use the Honda MTF or the GM Synchromesh that some of the members on here really like. I'm not aware of a Mobil Oil MTF...I know they have an ATF and that you can use a 10w30 oil as MTF on a temporary basis only, but I have yet to see a Mobil 1 Synthetic MTF...maybe a gear oil like for the diff, but not for the transmission.

Can you link what oil/fluid you used on your change?

Grind went away after about 40 miles of driving with the new (CORRECT) fluid. thanks everyone ( I feel stupid ) because I pieced my entire car back together and I do all my work but I screwed up no something so small.

It happens and there should be no lasting damage.

Over the years,I've used ALL of the most popular fluids....Honda,GM,Pennzoil,RP & Redline. My 03S likes the Amsoil MTF best.
