Default tranny shudder when coming to a stop

a quick question,

is it normal for the tranny or engine to shudder a little bit when coming to a stop. when im in second coming to a light, right at the end, it will sometimes shake a little bit before coming to a full stop. i dont know if this has always happened, but i am beginning to notice it now.

thanks all,

-k

With the clutch in there is no force on the transmission...are you sure the transmission is shuddering?? It's probably just the motor, and that is fairly normal.

Like Wes said, it's the engine taking a dip just below its normal idle speed. Usually, the car will "learn" if you let it happen a few times. If it doesn't fix itself, it's time to do the "Whack-a-MAP sensor" trick combined with the ECU reset trick. Search for MAP and you'll see lots of threads on this.
