Or it could just be a normal noise of the car.

There are a TON of "noise" threads turning up lately, mostly seeming to come from newer owners who are unfamiliar with the car. This car is anything but quiet. SlowS2k is currently writing up a thread regarding "noises". Particularly because:

A. most times the noises are normal

B. noises are extremely difficult to diagnose over the internet

Of course you're going to hear your tranny. You're sitting right next to it, with it maybe 2 feet from your head.

Yeah i hear you on the most noises are normal but trust me if anyone responcible for designing honda's heard this noise they would flip, it just sounds like crap like an exhaust leak or the presure cookers our parents used when we were kids.

Are you moving at the time? If this happens when you are stopped, it's not your tranny.
In gear, clutch in, car stopped, the tranny is not spinning. If you hear something in this scenario, it is NOT your tranny. Clutch maybe, engine maybe, exhaust and/or heat shield maybe, but not tranny.
Hmmm... happens while moving or stopped clutch in or out, very prominate when decelerating (rpm's going down) but maybe that's because the engine is quieter.

The dealer putthe car up on a lift and a tech revved the car, i agreed that it was coming from the tranny area but i'm no pro on cars.

Dealer thought it was an exhaust leak (it does sound like one) and replaced all of the gaskets. still hear it though.

Thanks!

I'm going with exhaust noise. If the tranny isn't spinning, it can't make any noise.
Oh, I don't count the clutch as part of the actual tranny. It spins whenever the engine is running.
