First, I have a 2001 with only 8k miles on it. Always been babied. Been taken up to 9k rpm many times, but never been raced, or speed shifted or clutch dropped.

Anyway, I have noticed under normal driving conditions when shifting into 3rd at about 6k rpm, it feels like it clicks a little going into gear. It's not difficult to shift or anything, just doesn't go smoothly into gear. Should I be concerned about this and be ready to take this up with Honda. I don't want to have to replace tranny 3 and a half years after purchase if this is something common to the S tranny's.

I have also heard that y ou can replace synchros with GM parts????

Our tranny's are notorious for being notchy, especially into 3rd. A fluid change will help, but not get rid of it. It may improve as you rack up more miles (break it in).
