The Honda recommended change intervals are in your owners manual. I change my fluid whenever I feel like I need to (read: shift quality degrades). I usually change the fluid before I have 10k miles on it. I also try different types of fluid so I change it out more often to see how well other fluids work.

Is your owners manual still in the secret compartment after 6 years?
Some change it when the transmission starts feeling "kinda notchy".
Honda suggest every 25k miles, even in the severe schedule
There have been many post about the oil not lasting that long.
It take's only 2 quarts.
(to buy, the fill is 1.5 liters / 1.6 quart)
(and it doesn't hurt to overfill a little )

Slightly on-topic: Anyone watch Best Motoring VTEC Club edition where Mr. Spoon recommends changing tranny fluid everytime you change the oil? It was for Type R's in general, but the arguments made by him to do so could be applied to all vehicles.
I didnt buy the explaination, but it did make me think if I should.
He also recommended using OEM engine oil in 99% of the cases.
