tranny is hard to shift in all gears
just today my car started getting really hard to shift, in all gears. i was thinking that maybe i needed to change the tranny fluid , but then i noticed something else weird. it's hard to describe this symptom, so bear with me. if i start from a dead stop in first gear, get going about 5-10 mph, and then push in the clutch with it still in first, the car gets a little jerky.
i was thinking the car needs new tranny fluid, the clutch bled, adjustment, or all of the above.
any suggestions? i tried searching but i couldn't really find anything. btw, the car has almost 80k miles on it.

Sounds like your clutch hydraulic dystem needs help. Could be either the master or slave cylinder going, or perhaps air in the lines. I suppose it could also be a warped disc/pressure plate.
I would start with bleeding the clutch hydraulics. Check for leaks.

That is the gear oil that goes in the differential.
You're suppose to use MTF such as Honda OEM Manual Transmission Fluid, GM Syncrhomesh Friction Modified, Redline MT-90, etc,etc but not Mobil 1 gear oil.

i'll pick up some gm synchromesh tomorrow. i hope the mobil 1 will be ok for 100 miles or so.
btw, the tranny still shifts like crap.

im having a similar problem w/ my car, it is incredibly ahrd to get into gear, and the clutch is very soft (ie the 1st 3/4's of the clutch are nothing, then maybe an inch to inch and a half of engagement)
should I maybe get the tranny fluid changed/taken a look at? would the honda dealership be the best palce for this (also, would it be a good idea to get the diff. fluid changed while I am at it?)
