Default Tranny fill bolt spinning

I was changing my tranny fluid today.. And while putting the fill bolt back on(never used a torque wrench before). I must have screwed it too tight. Because now it only tightens a little bit then loosens.. Over and over. Does neone know what happened?

You stripped the hole in the transmission case.

sounds like the threads a screwed. dont drive the car if you can avoid it, and get the hole re-threaded and flush the fluid out. youve probably got a few metal shards in there now. you're probably gonna need a new plug too.

Probably less than the cost of flatbedding it in to the dealer.

Any shop should be able to thread a bolt, but you have to trust them, this involves metal shards being in your tranny.

Sounds like you might have cross-threaded it and then tightened it down. I would try chasing the threads first on the trans, get a new fill bolt, and re-flush the tranny fluid.

Just guessing, but by the time you get done with towing, threading, flushing, and fluid costs...

Maybe $200?
