Redline MTL in the tranny and LE-607 in the rear diff. Do some research, there are thousands of pages already covering this topic.

That 80w90 fluid from Honda is GL5 as confirmed from the dealer. Looks like Vancouver Honda knows more about the S than the other dealer.

A 80W90 "gear oil" would be about the same viscosity as a 10W30 motor oil
Small correction: xW-40 engine oil
(a xW-30 engine oil would be about 10 cSt at 100 C, a xW-40 around 14 cSt)
And only at 100 C.
At room temp it is much thicker

FYI:
Automotive gear oil viscosity specifications are defined by SAE J306.
Engine oil viscosity's are defined by SAE J300.

Btw.. I'm using MTL-P (SAE 75W-85) in the transmission and LE-607 (SAE 90) in my diff.
So far so good

I'll second the GM synchromesh for the tranny. Made my Prelude shift like butter. And it got rid of my 2nd gear grind on my S2K.

Same here. Has anyone tried the new Honda "Precision Crafted" MTF yet? I found this on BITOG:

This Honda gear oil is probably as a result of the Honda memo put out a few years ago authorizing Canadians to use 80W90 GL 5 instead of SAE 90 GL5 in the S2000 for the unusually cold climate. I'm surprised that it took Honda 6 years to come up with the product.

Redline MTL in the tranny, LE607 in the differential...Mobil 75w90 is also a very good differential fluid to use in the S2000. Honda call for 90w GL5 for the differential fluid, but lots of folks here have used it with no problem...I would use 75w90 or 80w90 in cold climate and LE607 in warm climate.
