Tranny dead?
Hi guys I was driving my car this morning and shifted to second gear heard a loud pop and bam i have no second gear. I can be rolling down the road at any mph and rpm and put it into second gear without the clutch or any grinds. Any advice?

must be the synchros. Gear synchronizers. Time to rebuild!
Get ready to drain tranny fluid, but don't drain yet.
Start the car, drive with going through a few gears for a few times. Then jump on the ramps (jackstands, etc.) and drain that fluid soon-like. That's to make sure the little shavings (if any) don't have a chance to settle. Pick through that oil, and see if there are any metal thingies. Hopefully none! GL.
