Default Tractor noise s2k

Hi all. Bought a s2k recently and noticed a slight noise which is beginning to annoy me alittle.

Its basically like a tractor noise (best explanation i can come up with) which is in tune with the wheels turning. Faster you go the faster it gets. At very slow speeds its almost unnoticeable. If you pop it out of gear while moving you can still here it.

I will get a video/audio of it this week and post it.

Any ideas where i should be looking first. Hundreds of posts that im trying to get through so if someone could point me in the right direction i would be much appreciated

Very impressed upto now. Very sweet ride. Lovely to drive, but for this noise. Transmission noise is alittle noisey when you let off the fun pedal while in gear but everyone i test drove seemed to have this.

Any specialists around the north?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Top of this Forum, blue stickies, "FAQ, DIY, Maintenance". Look under engine, TCT- timing chain tensioner. This is if the sound is from the engine bay. You can rev the car under the hood by opening the throttle body (air intake goes to it). If the noise is not in the bay then check out "axle nut". Loose nuts have a sound and can cause loose bearings. They need to be retorqued.

Ok. Have got the car on a ram and found where the noise is coming from.

Seems more of a rotating Scraping noise. Seems to be coming from the back of the gear box where the drive shaft connects to the gear box.

This noise happeneds out of gear so im thinking maybe a bearing on the drive shaft? Any thoughts?

Turns out it was the prop shaft bearing going into the gearbox. I'll get the worn parts and get some picks of what it did next week.

In for pics and details. I think i have the same thing going on.

How did you determine it was the prop shaft bearing?
