towing question
is it okay to tow the s2000 rolling on the rear wheels with the gear in neutral?
would this damage the lsd or diff?
if it does indeed cause damage, and no signs of damage are apparent, should i be worried about minor undetectable damage that would get worse later on?

Towing it with just the rear wheels on the ground - and the front wheels lifted - could (probably will when you go over bumps) damage the underside of the car because it sits so low (even OEM).
Towing it with all 4 wheels on the ground... I don't know if the towing hooks are strong enough to deal with what happens when you go around corners and such and the rope or chain gets at an angle.
Maybe for a very short straight distance if you really really have to.. but I would be very very carefull, especially around corners!
Remember you'll have less braking power and I don't know what the electric power steering does without the engine running.
Honda recommends to get the car on a flatbed.
That is the only official way.
If the rear tires and diff are normal then towing itself does no damage to diff or lsd IMO.
Its all those other things that makes transport on a flatbed the best & safest & recommended way.

Once my S2000 was parked in a banked gravel pit for some reason.
About 3 meters away from the road (track).
The car that towed me out was carefull, nothing happened, eventhough the cable was at a slight angle (banked gravel pit).
He towed me about 20 meters towards a safe spot and not all in a straight line.
I made sure the extenstion nut and towing hook was tightend properly.
If you just screw it in by hand and hand tight..
The picture in my manual shows you have to tighten the extension nut with the lug nut wrench.. for a reason.
Anyway..
Just use a flatbed.
And use the holes in the chassis to get it up on to the flatbed.

If you are pulling the car down the street, a rope will be fine. There is no know mile factor, so I'll guess at one:
I'd say no more than 1 mile, and no more than 20 mph.
