Default Torque Wrench Recommendation?

Looking for a good quality 1/2" drive torque wrench to buy. USA made preferably
With so many brands out there I'm not sure what to get

Any recommendations?
Thanks

For over the counter wrenches I found the Sears Craftsman one pretty good, the one I bought was still being made in the USA a couple years ago, but that may have changed. You can find some used Snap-on wrenches on ebay from time to time which are top notch.

Me too. I have a 3/8" one and it seems to be quite accurate when I compare it to my Powerbuilt Digital Torque Adaptor.

I'm not sure if I'm a fan of these new electronic torque wrenches. If you want something like that, why not just get a digital torque adaptor and use a breaker bar or ratchet? Powerbuilt specs ±1%, a lot better than Brown Line's ±3.5%. The downside is that it's a little clunkier to have the adapter in between, but if you don't use it much, it seems like a nice cheap alternative.

i have 2 reg Torque Wrench now but dont trust them 100% i didnt know about the Powerbuilt one yes 1% is better but the ±3.5% for the brown line is still better than any of the Craftsman Wrench they have ±4% . now the Craftsman Electronic Torque Wrenchs 2% clockwise and 3% counterclockwise accuracy. sooo there more accurate than none electronic ones. so idk guess its what you want

±1% -> ±3.5%, 250% increase
±3.5% -> ±4%, 14% increase

I'm a big fan of clicking torque wrenches. It helps greatly to prevent user error and they are faster to use.

FWIW, when I measured my torque wrench with the Powerbuilt adapter it correlated very well. I never got more than -1/+0% from the torque adapter.
