Default torque sensor neutral position

i just finished putting in a new steering rack, and my manual says i need to memorize the TSNP with a pgm tester. i dont have a pgm tester, and it says to short the SCS circuit to body ground, can i do this with a paperclip or wire. or is that a good way to fry stuff? anybody know how to do it?

you can short it out by using a wire to ground out pin 5 i believe on the DLC port and then you have to do the whole turn the wheel 45 deg. hold, release the turn the other way 45 deg. yada yada yada its all in a honda service manual.

Short PIN 9 to PIN 4 in the ODBII connector. The pins are labeled on each corner. 1,8,9,16 So be sure to count them right. Connect the wrong ones and you will blow a fuel. I know, I have done it a few times.

the ODBII connector is the DLC right?

Yes. ODBII is the DLC (Data Link Connector)

strato..... i feel dumb, but i cant find the DLC. i opened that panel on passenger side. all i see is a yellow harness, a couple small grey ones and a big grey one, nothing with 16 pin..... help

2002 have it on the drivers side of the car, just behind the knee rest. The 2000-2001 have it on the passenger's side of the car.
