That is somewhat normal on a higher mileage engine, Ballade motorsports sells a gear to help restore timing for this specific purpose, they claim it restores power, who knows. If doing valvetrain work go by the cam gear markings.

Normal chain stretch, just retards cam timing a bit, no biggie. You get a teeny tiny more top end at the expense of bottom end power.

If you are looking for TDC to adjust valves, don’t worry too much about it; just make sure the lobes are pointed up on the ones you are working on.

^yeah if you are just doing a valve adjustment you have quite a bit of leeway as the valves are seated for quite a few degrees, just go by the cam marks or cam lobe directions and don't sweat the crankshaft mark.

Oh, if it's for VA, fastest and best method is ignore all timing marks and just rotate motor until cam lobe points up, away from that cams follower, then adjust that valve.
