welcome to the community! everyone has mentioned the necessities. if you can splurge a little more get yourself a set of long handle box/closed spanners ( wrenches ) you will use them more than sockets. especially doing oil changes and suspension work. i got myself the gear wrench XL set.

Not really tools but 3 things that I keep in my car at all times...

1) A good tire pressure gauge. Our cars are very sensitive to tire psi.
2) A small, strong LED flashlight or "headlight".
3) Paper towels, a quart of oil and a small funnel. Check your oil after every fill up and add as needed. Check it a few times and read both sides of the dipstick. Low oil will kill your engine.
