Tools New S2000 Owners Need.
I am purchasing my first S2000 soon and want to do some of the maintenance tasks that are on the "What to look for when you buy a used S2000" sticky.
Do you guys have suggestions on: (best bang for the buck)for changing the oil, gravity bleeding the brakes, flushing the coolant, changing the oil filter, Diff fluid, changing the spark plugs and PCV valve.
Jacks?
What size torque wrench, pliers, screwdrivers, etc etc.
Other tools??
Sorry for not being specific enough but this is all new to me.

Welcome.
Did you stumble on my thread for new owners? The link is in my signature.
I really like the low profile dual pistion hydraulic floor jack from Harbor Frieght.
Torque wrench anything that has 100 ft-lbs of torque should do. Unless you are building an engine.
Don't forget jack stands!

Go to Costco and get their low profile jack and craftsman's mechanics tool set (around $200 out the door for both, lifetime returns no questions asked). You'll also need a tire iron (you could use your spare one) jack stands (please buy 4) as well as a oil disposal bin. I would also invest in mechanic gloves, as well as a pack of disposable ones. Torque wrench isn't really required but recommended. Pick up a spark plug gapper for future uses and that is about it. You could also get some shin-estu grease for the seals on your top to keep that from drying up.

3/8- and 1/2-drive breaker bars are nice to have, and a rubber mallet for the stubborn bolts. Metric sockets and combination wrenches. I also have a ratcheting combination wrench set, which comes in handy. Most bolts on the car are 8-14mm. Oil drain bolt is 17mm. A simple oil filter strap wrench works fine for getting the filter off. Wheel lugs are 19mm. You need a 23mm socket and 24mm wrench for the differential. You'll need a deep-well socket for the spark plugs, but I don't remember the size, and a short length of rubber hose to pull the plugs out and get them started back in.

It's a car. It's not much different than taking care of Civic.
Get the tool for the oil filter. It needs to be pretty snug to prevent leaks.
Get some 2x8s or bricks to drive the front wheels up on so you have enough clearance to jack up the car.

Shin-estu grease: Look at the last posting if you have questions about it.

You can go to Wal Mart and get a pump for about $5, it a marine lube pump, work great for fluid change. They also have a Mix Master syringe, great for sucking fluid out of clutch, brake fluid reservoirs.
