too much oil?

too much oil?
anything wrong with too much oil? def dont want to mess up the car. its on H when the car is left over night, i have yet to check after the engine has been on. am i okay? or should i just change my oil and put in 5qts this time instead of trying to put in 5.1qts?

How much did you put in?
I really wouldnt worry, Im not sure what the indication is at that level of the dipstick, but on the X's I believe L is one qt low... If you try to scale that past where your oil level is I'm sure that will be a fraction of a quart...
Go hit Vtec a few times and you'll be right where you need to be
I've filled like 5.4-5.5 qt before...

Best time to check your old is on a level surface after it has sat for several hours.
With that said, overfilling your oil is NOT good, you can do serious damage (as documented here a few times)
When the engine is cold and it's on 'H' then your good

If you are at the line below the H at the top of the X's then you are just full. If your oil shows just a little into the H, it's really fine. If the oil shows fully above the H, it is anywhere from a bit to high to far too high (depends how far above the H). All of this would be measured after engine is cool for a long time and sitting on level ground.
It really sounds like you are fine if you are just to the line below the H or just a little in to the H.
