I think the Mugen ecu is getting more set to this header. So far, I like what power there is, particularly the apparent increase in subredline power.

I did an internet search on header wrapping and found another potential problem is fire with oil coming into contact with the wrap, soaking in and subsequently catching fire.

The header also will not last as long, and one site said the header will be red under the wrap, even with street use. I suppose where the header will become 'worn out' would be at the seams. This Thermo-Tec wrap is thinner than others, thus not being as radical in allowing heat buildup, but I suppose this would make the wrap less effective.

prolene, why don't you look into "powerkote" for the header?
It's worth the investment, just my 0.02

I'll probably get the dyno done later part of this month.

The pipe gauge thickness of the Toda might be thicker than Mugen's. The overall pipe lengths of Toda seem to be less, and with lack of heatshield and mounting points of the Toda, and with some metal taken out from between the pipes of the flat part that goes to the head (not done in Mugen), the Toda still weighs about the same as Mugen.

The Toda has a threaded port for an extra sensor which is plugged from the factory.

The Mugen header is still a work of art, imo.
