You're wrong.

[QUOTE=street_ruler,Jan 13 2008, 06:08 PM] that cant be the case becaust why would that cause a problem? the engien would just spit out the unburnt fuel and on the next combustion cycle it would fire again correctly (if nothing were broken)

A misfire is not Detonation. Detonation is uncontrolled combustion that occurs before the piston is a TDC.

A misfire is the lack of a combustion event. It is measured by crankshaft fluctuation from a cylinder that is not providing power.

S2000's come with platinum plugs from the factory. So do most Honda's built in the last 6 years.

I questioned them they said that they only took it around the building a few laps to make sure there was no problems with the bearing or new hub, and before they changed the hub and bearing they also drove it a few laps around the building which is a pretty large street to determine it was the bearing and hub.

Any idea why I would have misfires on 1,2, and 3 but not 4 ? I have never changed my spark plugs, could all 3 have fouled at the same time ?
They were probably hot laps.

As mentioned above, don't accept fault for this until things have been checked out. Have the car TOWED to a honda dealership and have the snapshot checked, compression tested, and visually inspect the valves etc. If a valve is partly cracked from over rev, you may still be able to get it running "right" however catastrophic failure will result after as long as a few months.

It seems very likely they are at fault, and this may be big $$$ to fix. Get ready for a fight.

^ Does the snapshot record the odo mileage at which the code was tripped? If so, that could provide even more ammo against the shop.

Slight nitpick - it's an unctrolled combustion before the spark plug fires, which may or may not be at TDC.

Otherwise
