Tips on how to change out fuel hose
I will be changing the fuel hose leading from my fuel pressure regulator to my fuel rail. There is a slight split in the hose where it connects to the fuel rail and it sometimes sprays a fine mist of fuel when I first start the engine. Once the engine is warm, it stops spraying . . . which is a good thing I guess.
It looks to be a fairly simple process and it easy to access. However, how do I stop the fuel from leaking out of the rail and regulator when I take off the old hose? I have been researching similar threads and most people say the line is depressurized once the car is cold. Is this true? Any tips?
The part that is leaking is the end before the blue fuel rail connection.
Thank you for any help.
My car is an 02 with a 04 engine. Fpr was installed and tuned with a neo.

Update:
I changed out the hose using two worm wheel hose clamps. I started the engine and fuel sprayed all over the place where the hose connected to the fuel rail. I turned off teh engine and tightened that end some more. Started the engine and no leak anywhere.
Are those clamps able to hold up under pressure for the long term? I am worried the clamp might break or something causing fuel to go everywhere and me to go boom...
I did not like tightening the clamp as much as I did. Does anybody know how these clamps hold up? Is there a stronger clamp available?
Thanks to all those that helped. Not very much fuel leaked out when I took off the old hose. I clamped the old hose at both ends and that kept most of the fuel inside the hose and I drained the hose after it was off.

Good idea. I think I will do that. I will have to do some research on how to convert to AN fittings but they look like exactly what I need.
On a side note, the clamps from OEM were just the spring clamps.
