Tips for cutting hood for Mugen intake
Hi,
I want to go back to my stock hood, and I know it needs to be cut in order to fit with my intake. Anyone have any tips for cutting it?
What tool did you use? What type of bit? What did you do to keep it from cutting through to the other side?
Thanks in advance.

Don't use a battery powered dremel, they don't last long enough or have enough torque to do the job.
Take the bonnet off it's quicker and easier in the long run
Tape the underside of the bonnet and mark your cut onto the masking tape
Go steady when cutting especialy around the back edge of the cut where there are only a few mm between the cut and the skin
There's a hidden seem under the cut area, you'll find it easily enough when you make the cut. All you need to do is cut parallel to that seem to remove the bulk of the inner area you want to remove then cut the seem away to remove the rest of it
use the dremel sanding drums to neaten up the cut and round the corners
after you've painted the cut then use some rubber trim to put a nice safe edge round the cut. see if you can find PC Blowhole trim or similar.
