No, it doesn't feel like when the car hits the rev limiter. When the car hits the rev limiter, what you feel is the fuel cut that is programed into the PCM. Ignition retard will just feel like a loss of power,....you probably won't even feel it.

So what is Webestore feeling? ( hiccup).If I do suspect that timing retard has taken place with the stock ecu, do I just reset the ecu to get the stock timing?????

I experience it when it is hot and the engine is heat soaked.
I pull the back up fuse at auto-x events to reset the ECU. The vortech black box pulls timing on top of the ECU. It sucks.

I know this is old but having this issue with my car with the hot weather, anyone have any suggestions?? I have the vortech black box and it's the programmable one from split second.... do i change the timing retard to cover for the hot weather or what do u guys suggst?!
