Default timing retard

When the ECU retards timing, does it feel similar to when the car hits the rev limiter?????

No, it doesn't feel like when the car hits the rev limiter. When the car hits the rev limiter, what you feel is the fuel cut that is programed into the PCM. Ignition retard will just feel like a loss of power,....you probably won't even feel it.

I experience it when it is hot and the engine is heat soaked.

I pull the back up fuse at auto-x events to reset the ECU. The vortech black box pulls timing on top of the ECU. It sucks.
