Core return is required after receiving and installing my unit, there is zero down time.
Having the the engine sit without a TCT installed is asking for serious engine damage. If the crankshaft is bumped at all, by hand, by the starter, or by simple bumping of the driveline, the chain will skip. Re-starting will instantly destroy the engine.
