Timing Chain Tensioner Noise

After reading through 25 pages, do you have an update Billman on your TCT mod?
2poor2mod, Im assuming that if you get the worm gear sandblasted, it will fix the tct noise?
Thats better than spending $130 some dollars on a new TCT.

Well, my car just hit 130k... I'm changing out the original for a new TCT. That seems like the best idea at my mileage even though this sandblast mod. sounds very cool.

I changed my TCT 100 miles ago.
at first the engine purred
then later the diesel sounding engine came back after a hundred miles.

Are you still driving it? Notice anything awkward?

I had the noise also. found my Engine oil was almost a quart low.. filled it up to middle of the mark and noise is gone..
perhaps the tendancy of AP1 motor's to burn oil has something to do with the TCT going out so often?
