I had a noise come back at 2k RPM with a one month old tensioner.. was freaking out. anyway had just changed my mobil 1 around 1500 miles ago and decided to get it out of the car today. replaced it with redline and all bad sounds are now completely gone and car is WAY smoother. after this my opinion of mobile 1 is that it complete sh*t.

IF YOU ARE HAVING NOISE ISSUES AND ARE RUNNING MOBIL 1 , DUMP THAT SH*T AND GET SOME REAL OIL. I would also make sure to run the oem filter also.

(I'm using Redline now and it completely solved ALL of my noise/tensioner issues)

I just changed mine last night. It was my first time and took 20min. The hardest part was to take out the air box. Anyway no sounds so far. Im juiced.

Like posted several time above, its easyer than changing oil.

Mine was going bad and I replaced it. It was like $128. I wouldn't try to dance around this issue.

I just got mine replaced again at my dealer. Although I'm way passed the car warranty period, they said it was a parts warranty issue (12 months/12k miles). So as long as my TCT keeps failing within those constraints, I'm good.
