What is the point of removing the access plug when doing the TCT change? Do I need to remove that?
in order to pull the pin

I just started hearing this noise on mine....

It dosen't seem very common on AP2's I wonder if something else is wrong...

The noise only occurs when I first start the car

Or after a long drive pulling into my driveway with the clutch depressed I give a rev and I hear the noise all throughout the rev.

I replaced mine and its totally silent now! Great! I also did the oil filter, but I had the correct one on there (pcx) so I doubt that made a difference. I've gone about 1000 miles so far and its still good.

Update - after 5000 miles, it still siilent and runs great. This was defiintely the problem.

Think I'll make a little maintenance day this weekend and swap out the tranny, diff, and engine oil. There is definitely some clicking so since I've had a spare tensioner lying around for a while now, I'll be slapping it in. I'm slightly concerned about dropping the piston or pin inside, but what can ya do. Granted I haven looked at the maintenance hole or anything so I don't know if my concern is warranted, but we'll see.
