***** UPDATE ******

i switched to Mobil-1 (same oil i always use) and this time used a generic filter (ac delco? fram?) and now my car doesn't make the noise on startup

^ Give it a few weeks, then come back & report. I've heard reports from people that did an oil change and the problem went away, only to return a few weeks (or few hundred miles) later.

Mine sounds like that intermittently only during warm start ups for about a second or two then disappears completely.

The TCT noise has no preference of warm/hot/time of noise/duration.

It can do it on hot start only, cold start only, intermittently, or constantly.

As long as you can match that noise for any duration at any time, it's the TCT.

YOUR description is very typical of a bad TCT. Part number 12 will surely fix it
