i was quoted at $170 for the part, and 2 hrs. labor @ $100/hr = $370 = part + install
however, they believe it is my tranny, not the TCT. christ i wish it was the TCT...$370 compared to the cost of a new tranny?

how could u really mistakin a sound from the tranny and the TCT? usually the TCT is a ticking/knocking sound and sounds like a diesel idling...TCT would take like 15mins MAX id you know what your doing.
but there are alot of threads talking about the TCT...

i listed my symptoms on this forum and everyone said what i was describing was the TCT. even the diesel-like idle. i brought it to honda and they said "there is definitely no noise coming from the TCT, but your transmission bearing(s) might be going." i guess they might've been making noise? at this point i don't know.
